We will reschedule (for no extra fee) any event affected by the Covid-19 crisis for up to two years from the original date of the reservation.

We offer safe options for at home parties and will work with you to ensure your child doesn't miss their special day.

Should you still choose to postpone your event we will apply 100% of any prepaid charges or deposit toward your next event.

Information from the CDC at this time indicates that this crisis may last a few weeks or maybe more than a month. We realize Birthdays and some events only come once per year so we feel its fair to allow you to up to two years to plan your next event.

Delivery policy for A Child's Joy


Our prices do not include travel and delivery to all areas.

A Child's Joy has been providing quality children's entertainment to Arizona kids since 1990. As the Phoenix Metro area has grown we have decided to provide services to the entire Valley as well as the rest of the state of Arizona.

It is necessary to charge for the extra time and fuel required to travel to all locations.

We can provide you an exact quote for these charges within the Phoenix metro area based on your cross streets or zip code. These charges usually range from $20.00 close in to $50.00 for outlying areas.

Rates to any cities outside the Phoenix metro area are based on a per mile charge using Mapquest or Google Maps. You may call us at 480-820-8030 to speak with a representative.

Payments accepted by A Child's Joy

All Major Credit Cards

We accept all major Debit & Credit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, Diners Club, Discover & American Express) We also can take Google Wallet (Formally Google Checkout) or PayPal. *Note a convenience fee of %5 is charged for use of credit and debit cards. This fee is waived for bookings under $500.

Checks, Cashier's Checks, Money Orders or Traveler's Checks.

We accept personal and business checks by phone. Call us at 602-820-8030 to process.

Once processed, you will receive receipt by email at the address you provided. There will be a link you may use to pay the remaining balance securely online at any time.

You may pay your deposit or balance online or over the phone. The minimum deposit is $30. The deposit on balances larger than $250 is calculated by the system based on 25% of the total amount rounded down to the nearest $50.

You may pay your balance in full or part anytime before the day of event. Any remaining balance is due when we set up.

Paying by Cash

Due to issues in the past we do not deliver to events that have not confirmed their reservation with a deposit.

You may pay the balance cash upon setup. Please plan to have exact cash available as the drivers do not carry change.


Cancellation policy for A Child's Joy


We offer access to our live inventory reservation system 24/7. The system will not let you reserve something that is not available for your chosen time.

Paying your deposit securely online has initiated the reservation process. We will contact you shortly to discuss the details.

If for any reason we cannot provide the service you requested in a time window acceptable to you, you may cancel this reservation and we will issue a credit for any payments you made. You can also apply this deposit toward a new reservation.


Deposits are non-refundable but will be held on account for you to apply to another event for up to one calendar year.

Cancellations made less than 48 hours before event will result in forfeiture of deposit.

You may cancel this reservation for any reason up to 48 hours prior to your event and receive full credit towards your next party for up to one year.

A cancellation fee of no less than 5% of amounts paid/credited by credit card will apply to cover transaction fees charged by our Merchant Account.


We pledge not to cancel your reservation because of rain; it is your call.

Our experience has been that it may be raining here but not at your party.

You may reschedule without penalty if you contact us before 7:00am on your event day, otherwise you may be responsible for delivery charges as well.

We reserve the right not to setup in any dangerous conditions.

We have charged a travel/delivery fee since 1990. It is not a new policy. The prices you see for each item are the rental rate for the use of that item or service. The cost to deliver that item or service varies based on the amount of time and distance involved in bringing it to you and picking it up when you are done.

Some (not all) rental items are available for pick up by you at out Laveen location. Call us at 602-820-8030 with questions.
